If you understand the psychology of The Don, the disturbed constellation of traits that define a malignant narcissist, there is only one way out from the humiliation of his conviction: destroy the world that made him the first president to ever be convicted of a felony; remove the devastating stain that now lives inside him by bringing down the very legal system that stained him.
The nerve of anyone to hold him accountable. To use one of his favorite phrases when things don’t go his way, “The system is rigged”. And of course, make it clear that the real criminals are the ones who brought him to justice. If you can do that, you can transfer the stain to them and cleanse yourself. It’s the dark arts of projection, and no one does it better than The Don.
The absurdity of his rants about the Democrats as fascists, that Biden and his family are a crime family, that the justice system is corrupt and only he can right the ship (by taking over the D.O.J!) are major highlights of his shadow casting, deflecting the light of his sinister actions to everyone else.
The stain and humiliation of his conviction create an unbearable psychic itch that must be scratched until the source of the itch is eradicated. This can’t be me, so it must be you. So when it comes down to it, the question is: who will ultimately wear, and be defined by, the Scarlet Letter C, for convict.
Here’s The Don in an interview with one of his favorite Fox News buddies Sean Hannity. Surprisingly, Hannity actually pushed The Don to condemn “this practice of weaponization.”
The Don replied: “You have to do it. But it’s awful — look, I know you want me to say something so nice,” but, “I don’t want to look naïve.”
He added: “So, you know, it’s a terrible, terrible path that they’re leading us to, and it’s very possible that it’s going to have to happen to them.”
Yes, Don, it saddens you so much, it breaks the heart to have to make them pay, but they started.it You’re such a nice guy. Rumor has it that during a commercial break he told Hannity. “You know how they say “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth? Well, fuck eye for eye, I’m going to cut off their heads.

From the moment of his conviction, The Don has amped up his ravings and revenge against the machine (the deep state.) And what a surprise that his cult of followers have taken up the clarion call to redeem him and make sure justice comes to those who deserve it.
Here are some of the craven best hits from the morally bankrupt sycophants who have decided to sing The Don’s song:
Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina: “Un-freaking-believable.” To that I say: Your desire to be vice president has put you so far up The Don’s ass that you have become invisible.
Stephen Miller: “Every facet of Republican Party politics and power has to be used right now to go toe-to-toe with Marxism and beat these Communists.”
Steve Bannon: “There are dozens of ambitious backbencher state attorneys general and district attorneys who need to ‘seize the day’ and own this moment in history.” Can’t wait to see you in that Orange jumpsuit starting in July!

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida: President Biden is “a demented man propped up by wicked & deranged people” and it was now time to “fight fire with fire.” Remember when The Don referred to you as “Little Marco,” in the 2016 presidential campaign? You lost it and started fighting fire with fire and went after his “little hands?’ Well, your desperation to be vice president has made you so small that you could fit in the palm of those little hands. So small, so small.

John C. Yoo, Berkeley University Law professor best known as the author of once-secret Bush administration legal memos declaring that the president can lawfully violate legal limits on torturing detainees and wiretapping without warrants:
“In order to prevent the case against Trump from assuming a permanent place in the American political system, Republicans will have to bring charges against Democratic officers, even presidents… only retaliation in kind can produce the deterrence necessary to enforce a political version of mutually assured destruction; without the threat of prosecution of their own leaders, Democrats will continue to charge future Republican presidents without restraint.” Is this a plug running the D.O.J?
Congressman Ronny Jackson of Texas: “President Biden should just be ready because on Jan. 20 of next year when he’s former President Joe Biden, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.” I guess that’s a bona fide threat?
Jeff Clark, a former Trump Justice Department official who has been indicted in the Georgia election case for his role in helping Mr. Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 vote in that state asked for “brave” district attorneys in conservative areas to file lawsuits in federal court against people involved in criminal cases against Mr. Trump..
No one is free from Republican tyranny. Larry Hogan, former governor of Maryland, now a darling senate candidate there, whose victory could decide the majority in the Senate, was taken down when he implored Americans “to respect the verdict and the legal process.”
Off with his head decried Chris LaCivita, a top Trump adviser: “You just ended your campaign.”
Lara Trump, who is also the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said that Mr. Hogan “doesn’t deserve the respect of anyone in the Republican Party.”
That’s what you call, “Eat your own!”

Mike Davis, a former top Senate Judiciary Committee lawyer who is a close associate of Mr. Trump said on Twitter about his fellow Republicans: “If your response to Biden’s Republic-ending lawfare against Trump is: we must respect the process and/or we are too principled to retaliate, please do two things: fuck off and please leave the party. You are too weak and stupid to keep around.”
In The Don’s party, the ship has sailed when it comes to principles. The party should be renamed “The Party of Retaliation.” Let’s hope there are enough “weak and stupid” people out there that are smart enough to see through this dangerous world view, where people who disagree with you, are enemies to be eliminated. That’s the first phase of autocracies.
