The Grinch Comes to Washington

In another Marie Antoinette “let them eat cake” moment, The Don  flippantly responded to a question regarding increases in the price of products American families buy from China for the holiday season (approximately 80% of toys Americans buy are from China.)

“Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls, you know?” he said. “And maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more than they would normally.”

So two instead of 30? And more for the two? That sounds like a raw deal for families, doesn’t it?

Pretty rich coming from a billionaire who was born with a gold spoon in his mouth and is bringing in millions of dollars on shady dealings, enriching himself while many Americans find that they can afford less.

Rumor has it that The Don is so frustrated that people are upset about higher costs due to his tariffs, that he’s thinking of writing an executive order banning dolls from the country. Seeing an opportunity to add to his riches, it is rumored that he will be using some of the millions he is making from his crypto scam to produce only American made dolls, but only of him and Melania. Goodbye Barbie and Ken; hello Donnie and Mel. It is also rumored that he was outraged by the cost of making the dolls in America and has secretly made a deal with the Chinese to produce them with one caveat: they must say they were made in the U.S.A. Of course, these dolls will be exempt from the tariffs.

Rumor has it that in another executive order he intends to sign, any child caught playing with a doll made from China will have it taken from them and sent to a special doll prison. To accomplish this, The Don will create a new division of I.C.E. called: The Doll Brigade. Within the D.B. a Special Op unit will be formed to specifically go after any non White dolls. Children who cry about their doll being abducted will be ostracized and outed on the internet as ungrateful crybabies. Parents who object will face special review of their taxes by the I.R.S.

If going after dolls wasn’t enough, The Don recently signed an executive order defunding PBS, the home of Sesame Street and the beloved Big Bird. According to an anonymous source, The Don is taking great delight in trying to end Big Bird’s career. He went on a tirade about the bird who is so much more loved than him.

I hate that stupid thing. Why do people love that bird so much? It’s just spreading left wing propaganda and brainwashing children. He makes children soft. Let’s face it: the world is not for soft people. We need real boys to become real men and we need girls who want to listen to them. Sesame Street is all about considering the feelings of others and treating all types of people with respect and dignity. It has D.E.I. running through its veins. Perhaps we can have one last show where a puppet version of my badass bestie Stephen Miller shows up on the set and escorts all the puppets of color off the show. And I don’t just mean dark-skinned puppets. Red, yellow, green, and blue as well. Too much diversity on that show. And before the Miller puppet gets there, we are definitely going to get rid of the silly counting and letter stuff. We don’t want little kids learning to read. Reading is so soft. If these little boys want to make it in the Manosphere they better forget reading.

Getting rid of Sesame Street and dolls are symbolic of the game plan. The Don’s desire to tariff, dismantle, deregulate, deport, destroy institutions of learning, attack law forms and judges, and eradicating anything that sniffs of D.E.I are all part of a master plan called Project 2025. This blueprint filtered through The Don’s insatiable desire for power, inexhaustible capacity for grievance and retribution, and a belief that America can only be great within a White Male Christian Supremacy is a scary, toxic brew leading us down the path of autocracy.

Watching all that has unfolded after the first 100 days of his presidency, it is crystal clear that everyone and everything is expendable in The Don’s pursuit of power and revenge. Like any autocrat, he wants his detractors silenced; he wants to make them so fearful they will not put up any opposition to him. In his fantasy world, he would like every home to have a picture of him in a prominent place. He truly aspires to be Putin, Xi, or Orban as they have the absolute power he craves. As a White Supremacist, he wants a cultural revolution where anything or anyone that challenges his idea of America is cancelled, vanquished, or destroyed.

So many of his actions have been refuted by the courts as unconstitutional. His response to this is to threaten judges and claim that the courts have no jurisdiction over him because he was anointed by the people (and God!) to fulfill his mission. In essence, the courts are a nuisance that need to get out of the way. Recently, the court has shot down his use of the 1789 Aliens Act as a justification for its illegal deportations. Even the Supreme Court, who has given him total immunity, has blocked him on issues of deportation. Whether he ultimately obeys the Supreme Court’s decisions on many of his actions is the tipping point for our democracy. Comments from J.D. Vance, Stephen Miller, and others, intimate that if the court doesn’t support him, he may just defy them. “His Supreme Court Justices” may turn into his “Turncoat Justices” and become enemies of The Don.

The good news is that people all over the country are joining together to create a real opposition movement. In numerous polls The Don’s approval ratings are tanking. Last week, an ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that Trump’s approval rating had plummeted to 39 percent—a 6 percent drop from February—marking the lowest first-100-day rating of a president since modern polling began roughly 80 years ago. Polls on support of tariffs and his methods of deportation show the majority of Americans disapprove of his actions. Protests are everywhere and those who refused to believe the reality he promised are waking up. The ultimate question becomes how much he will care about what the American people or the courts think. When it comes down to it, saving Big Bird is a part of saving the America we know.
