Again, Again, and Again

The Don was first indicted in New York in April. (Remember Stormy Daniels!). Since then he has been indicted three more times,. In other words: again, and again, and again.

I can say with 100% certainty that I have never used the word again three consecutive times in a sentence. However, I am pretty sure I have used the word over three times consecutively, in the phrase: over and over and over again. Fool me once, fool me twice, fool me thrice, but four times? Who else but The Don could be indicted four times in a span of 4 months? Then again, what other president is impeached twice? According to The Don, he is the most persecuted man in the history of our country. No matter the topic, The Don is the greatest at it.

We didn’t get to the magic 100 charge count across all the indictments I had wished for, but we did get to 91! And in the Georgia indictment, we had 18 others named defendants (that’s 98) and in the documents case we have two more, so there you go: 101! And that’s not including the unnamed co-conspirators who could easily be indicted at some point. From the point of view of upholding the rule of law, we can call the addition of Fani Willis’ indictments of those who conspired to overturn the election results in Georgia, Fanitastic or how about EuRICO (aka, Eureka!)

Continuing with the numbers theme, there is another number I want to bring into the equation: 788. No, that’s not the number of times The Don lied yesterday (though it could be since everything he utters is practically a lie!); no, it isn’t the amount of times he has defrauded people in his life (that’s probably in the tens of thousands); no, that is not the amount of electoral college votes The Don believes he received in the 2020 election, even though there are only 538. However, if you believe you won by a landslide, when you actually lost by seven million votes, it is possible to believe you won more electors than actually exist, particularly when you think you can create false ones, which is what happened in Georgia and multiple swing states; no, it is not the amount of times that he has cheated in golf (to calculate that number take the number of hours he has spent on a golf course and multiply it by 5?).

So what’s the number 788 about? According to The Don’s lawyers in the January 6th case, in order to review the 11.5 million documents compiled: “We could start reviewing today, we would need to proceed at a pace of 99,762 pages per day to finish the government’s initial production by its proposed date for jury selection. “That is the entirety of Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace,’ cover to cover, 78 times a day, every day, from now until jury selection.”

Rumor has it that when the lawyers presented this absurd ploy to the Don he asked: Who the fuck is Tolstoy? Take that shit out and change the book to the “Art of the Deal.” At 378 pages, you would have to read it approximately 234 times a day! What advertising, what publicity- think of the sales; I could use that money to pay my legal fees.”

The number of importance in the recent indictment in Georgia is 10,780, which was the number of votes The Don asked Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” for him to change the results in Georgia.

Other numbers tossed around: False claims that thousands of convicted felons, dead people and others unqualified to vote in Georgia had done so.

John Eastman, mastermind of the fake elector scheme, claimed that “the number of underage individuals who were allowed to register in the state “amounts allegedly up to approximately 66,000 people, which was a total fabrication.“

And then there is the number 18. This is the amount of times The Don mentioned two Black poll workers, mother and daughter, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss, in his infamous call to Brad Raffensperger, accusing them of being “professional vote-scammers and hustlers. If you recall it was Rudy G. who created the misinformation about them, stating that they exchanged a suspicious USB drive “like vials of heroin or cocaine. Turns out investigators determined they were passing a mint! (Rudy G. has pleaded guilty in a civil suit that he made false statements about the two women.)

As a result of these false accusations, the two women were maligned and threatened. At one point, Trump supporters forced their way into Ms. Freeman’s home, claiming they were there to make a citizen’s arrest.

At the January 6th hearing, Ms Freeman stated: “There is nowhere I feel safe. Nowhere. Do you know how it feels to have the president of the United States target you?”

That brings me to the last number: 1. That’s the number of times The Don should ever be allowed near the Oval Office. If he wins in 2024, his need for revenge for those he deems disloyal and against him will be brutal and unyielding. Many more will be repeating Ms. Freemans words: “Do you know how it feels to have the president of the United States target you?”. Let’s hope America is smart enough to prevent us from finding out.
